The process of placing chairs begins with retrieving discarded shipping pallets from dumpsters, construction sites, and other locations throughout Brooklyn, and repurposed those shipping pallets into adirondack chairs, which we then place in public spaces. DoTank:Brooklyn has placed chairs in six locations throughout northern Brooklyn. The method of using shipping pallets to build the adirondack chairs allows us to have a light impact on the world’s natural environment. As a result, building and distributing the chairs is a net-positive for the community. Chairbombing, and the repurposing of shipping pallets, will continue to take place as a means of improving our natural environment, and our community.

The Raveonettes, Evil Seeds

I think Raven In The Grave is a huge success and part of the reason I feel this way is due in part to my fave track on the album “Evil Seeds.”  The only problem with loving this track, I couldn’t figure out what song “Evil Seeds” reminded me of.  I kept thinking maybe it was a really slow dark version of Don Henley’s The Boys Of Summer.  But I just didn’t know, I needed help! So I recruited a friend to get on the case.  And immediately the answer was found.  It’s totally got a Bonnie Tyler’sHolding Out For A Herovibe.  Ahhh it’s so good to finally have that all straightened out.  I listened to “Evil Seeds” way too much today in trying to crack the what song is it code.  We also came to the conclusion there is a Boys Of Summer guitar thang going on too.  Phew…it feels good to have the answer!

Apple’s Three Laws of Developers

aayush:

yourhead:

  1. A developer may not injure Apple or, through inaction, allow Apple to come to harm.
  2. A developer must obey any orders given to it by Apple, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
  3. A developer must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

— I. Developer

Painfully true. And it has always been this way with Apple.
